AOR AR-8600 Mk2 Wide-band scanner

The AOR AR-8600 Mk II is the latest version of this popular AOR mobile/base station. The upper frequency range has been extended to 3000 MHz (3 GHz) lower band sensitivity now covers down to 100 KHz.

Short-Wave performance has been enhanced by the addition of extra bandpass filters and a selection of alternative IF filters. Mini-Circuits RMS1/RMS2 mixers have been used with active SPM antenna switching devices (not diode switching).

This unit will accept slot cards, with all five cards fitted at once, if needed.

For Airband enthusiasts the receiver included 8.33 KHz channel steps correctly supported (ie 8 1/3, 33, 66). An RS-232 port is provided for PC access and a wideband 10.7 MHz output is provided for use with the new SDU5600 spectrum display unit.

The unit comes with a telescopic whip antenna, MV bar aerial, DC lead and operating manual. All optional products for the AR-8600 are compatible with the Mk II version.
